Jennifer and Nick are for sure the couple I will NEVER forget!!!! One of my most mortifying experiences as a wedding photographer took place during their engagement session ... I am by no means a botanist ... you'd think after living in NH my entire life I would know poison ivy ... I mean I know the rule ... Leaves of three let them be .... but it seems that all plants have 3 leaves. So I bet you can guess where this story is headed .... yes ... I had the beautiful couple sit in what looked like a lush beautiful field ... it just so happened to be filled with lush beautiful 3 leaved plants. All I can say is I AM SO SORRY JENNIFER!!!!! As I was leaving their wedding and saying goodbye to her father he asked where we were from. When I answered, Sandown, NH his response was "OH! You're poison ivy girl!" I looked sheepishly at my feet while Mike enjoyed a pretty hearty laugh at my new found nickname.
We made sure to avoid any 3 leaved plants on their wedding day which turned out to be absolutely beautiful! We are so happy that after the poison ivy fiasco they still wanted to invite us back! And we are so glad they did. Much love to you both!
