NH Birth Photography | Lucas Alexander

I have been sitting here trying to come up with the right words to somehow accurately describe yesterday ...and ... well ... I just can't.  I am so humbled that Jen & Luke invited me into such an amazing day of their lives.  Photographing their wedding was an honor in itself, but the birth of their first child?  I have wanted to photograph a birth since I got out of college, and then life happened, I had my own babies, business got better than I could have imagined and it just never happened, until yesterday.

Welcome to the world Lucas Alexander.  It is one of my greatest privileges to have been able to photograph your birth.  You have one amazingly strong Mommy.  (and your Dad is pretty cool too)

Newborn photos to follow next week sometime :-)

Since I can't come up with the words, I hope the photos below can accurately portray just how amazing yesterday was!

Jen's sister was very excited that it was time to push.

Jen pushed like a champ for over 2 hours before it was decided that baby was just too big.  They had partially expected this, but Jen, being as amazing as she is, had decided she wanted to give labor a try.
And .... it's a boy!
