Maine Weddings | Union Bluff | Desiree & Mike

Desiree and Mike, like so many of the couples we work with, decided to do a "first look".  Doing this allowed them to have some time to walk around York and have a little fun before the days festivities began.  We started out near the iconic Golden Rods and moved over to the arcade for a few rounds of ski ball.  Having this relaxed time before the ceremony can really set the tone for the day.  Their day was no exception.  It was great being able to see them join into their cocktail hour and interact with all of their guests.

Love and Luck!

I loved this embroidered handkerchief Desiree had made for her father.  Such a great sentiment.
I loved the way the blue dresses worked with the ocean backdrop!

NH Weddings | The Granite Rose | Victoria & Chris

Laughter.  Lots and lots of laughter.  That is what I remember when I think of Vicky and Chris' wedding day!  Editing the photos brought me back to all of the smiles and full on laugh from your soul laughs.  That is one of the things I have always loved about photography.  I love that looking at an image can bring you back to the moment it was taken.  I look at the photos of Vicky laughing and I can hear her again.  It was infectious.  A few times I had to pull myself together to keep taking photos :-)

Thank you both so much for all the smiles.

XOXOXO

NH Weddings | The Granite Rose | Karen & Jim

Every day I count my blessings that I am able to actually do what I love ... and help support my family doing it.  Not only to I love taking pictures, but I feel so completely honored that couples trust me to document such a special day in their lives.  Then you get couples like Karen and Jim ... come to find out these two amazing people actually chose their wedding day based on when **I** was available.   I can't even begin to describe the overwhelming feeling that I got when they told me this.  Honored doesn't even begin to cover it.  I was so happy to be there with two such amazing people who are so obviously so much in love.

May years of happiness to you both!

XOXOXO

Wedding Photography NH | Flag Hill Winery | Megan & Sean

Megan and Sean are two of the most beautiful people I have met both inside and out!  We started the day in Portsmouth where the two got ready and had their first look.  Luck was really on our side as we started our stroll through town.  We stopped at a beautiful historic building because it had a great purple door that perfectly matched Megan's shoes (and Sean's socks)  when this nice lady, who's name I wish I had gotten) came out and invited us into the gardens out back.  For anyone who has never visited The Moffet Ladd House, I can't say enough good things about their gardens, it was something out of a fairytale.  I would LOVE to photograph a wedding there!  After wrapping up a great session in Portsmouth, we headed over to Flag Hill Winery in Lee, (another great place for photos photos!).  At this point, Mother Nature was starting to get a bit cranky, the wind was picking up, the clouds were rolling in and the rain was threatening, but they were able to get the ceremony in outside.  The first rain drops fell as they shared their first kiss.  I'd say the entire day was a fairytale, and we were lucky enough to be a part of it!

Love to you both!
